A very nice, slow and funny movie if you’re into that sort of thing. I am. Prince Avalanche presents many metaphors for the viewer to interpret. Many of them are fairly straightforward, others require a little more thought for solving. I’m no genius, so I’m sure there are a few I am oblivious to. But don’t let me throw you off, there are events in this film that make you think, some that make you chuckle, and they all come full circle…one way or the other. Watch this movie alone, without distraction. Don’t worry though, being alone doesn’t make you lonely, unless of course, you prefer solitude and its benefits. If you don’t understand this, let Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch do the explaining. David Gordon Green sets the mood quite well for this odd duo.
