After reviewing a few of Wes Anderson‘s more recent films, I had to reach a little further back into the past to review one of my favorite movies…Bottle Rocket. Luke Wilson, and Owen Wilson pursue their life long dream of, well, being wanted. The two friends spend their time forming a team and networking with larger players in the local shitty-heist game to pull off the biggest job of their lives. Unfortunately, Owen Wilson’s character Dignan decides that this criminal behavior was worth going to jail for. Of course, the reason behind this irrational decision making is beyond me, and that seems to be the theme of the entire movie and its perfect! This film provides many laughs and surprising plot twists, thanks to Anderson and Owen’s plot. Luke and Owen show us all why they are so successful today on screen.
